About Me
Hi, I’m Rajiva Mendis.
A Human Resources professional and systems builder, and the founder of Novaadramen,
an independent HR-tech and systems design initiative focused on building practical HR automation tools,
analytics-driven workflows, and AI-assisted decision systems for the hospitality and service sectors.
My career spans banking, hospitality HR, and people operations across Sri Lanka, the UAE, and the UK.
I’ve worked in high-pressure hospitality environments, where I designed HR policies, implemented SOPs, led structured onboarding initiatives, and built workplace systems that prioritised fairness, clarity, and human dignity.
Over time, I realised that many HR problems aren’t people problems, they’re system problems.
That insight pushed me to learn Python, data analytics, and system design, allowing me to
translate real HR pain points into working digital solutions.
Novaadramen
was born from that shift, not as a company pitch, but as proof of capability.
I’m not a traditional computer science graduate.
I’m a self-taught system builder who believes technology should serve people, not overwhelm them.
My work has been shaped through disciplined self-learning, hands-on system building,
and guidance from experienced industry professionals,
allowing each project on this site to reflect real-world thinking from onboarding and exit systems to analytics
and AI-assisted HR concepts.
Born in Colombo, shaped by the UAE, and now based in the UK, my journey hasn’t been linear, it’s been layered.
This site documents that evolution: not just what I’ve built, but how I think, solve, and design.
Beyond the résumé, I’m a storyteller, a creative, and a spiritual seeker.
I still believe in loyalty, handwritten notes, and systems that are humane by design.
